Cliffs Viewpoint Trail

Most visitors see the cliffs from the water. This short walk takes you above the town to the mirador — a viewpoint looking down the full height of the 600-metre rock face with the marina and Atlantic spread below.

The route

Start on Calle Los Guios and follow the signed path uphill through a residential street and then onto an open hillside track. It’s a steady climb with no technical sections. The viewpoint has a small railing and enough space for a dozen people comfortably.

What to expect at the top

The view is genuinely impressive — the scale of the cliffs is hard to communicate until you’re looking down on boats that appear tiny at the base. Sunset is the obvious choice for timing, though early morning has better light for photos.

Practical tips

  • Take water — there’s no shade on the ascent
  • The path is clear but not signposted beyond the start; keep heading uphill and you won’t go wrong
  • Evening visits are popular with locals — a good way to see the place away from the day-trip crowd
